Yes and No. I have all kinds of debris(headers, front facia, extra battery, ground effects, extra TB, tail lights, spare tire, one 5 point harness, T5 transmission parts, A/C compressor, exhaust manifolds) inside the car because my stuff takes up too much real estate. Hopefully some of the extra items I have sell soon and I can move things to a shelf.

Same here. Do they actually lower the car? I've seen different variations of them

The ride height shouldn't change as the spring pockets are not changed. I bought them so I have amble adjustment for camber and caster. From what I read the OE componts will max out around 1.5 degree negative camber. I plan to start out with -2 degrees camber with as much caster as I can.

            • Ah ok. I thought I saw some that bring the pocket up higher. Actually now that I think of it it was only for drop springs to regain full travel of the shock

I'm getting my generations mixed up

              • I just put UMI's caster/camber plates on my car last weekend. They are nice! Talk about range of adjustment!

                  • I may have just purchased my sixth third gen F-body within the last eight months. Someone gave me the nickname 3rdgenkiller as four of them have been recycled and the fifth one will be recyled in a month or two. But I have learned alot about these cars and I have a decent selection of parts to pick from now.
This is the latest barn find- It was involved in an accident about 8 years ago, the repairs started but it was never finished. This Iroc has 27,000 original miles on it. I may toss in the towel on the 92 and make this my project car since it is a hard top, has a better engine, but I will have to repair the front end :/
Gotta love the rear hatch wiper on an IROC.

I don't think it is sad, what it comes down to is "ain't nobody got time(or money) for that"

It makes no finacial sense to buy a car for $800 put ~$1000(parts, insurance, tires, fuel etc) into it and MANY hours of time. Listing it, dealing with tire kickers to be lowballed hopefully to break even or make a few hundred bucks.

                              VS

Buying a car for $800, Keeping parts that I want or need (Headers, non AC outer heater box, sway bars etc), Parting the rest of the car out and scrapping the vehicle.
I make a larger profit and I have "free" parts that go towards the car I want to end up with.

*Yes some cars have a good profit margin but you have to have a nice unmolested third gen and buy it right to be in the catagory.

The doors are nice on the IROC-Z
