You'll be whooping on me this year. Mine will probably run on spray what you currently run NA.Originally posted by Nocooler View PostI had to do something to keep up with you auto cars......there is still more in it N/A but I wanted some instant satisfactionsigpic

keep up? I'll need to leave to make a race now. I agree your car has some more left in the 60' n/a but once you spray it for the first pass I doubt that will matter so muchOriginally posted by Nocooler View PostI had to do something to keep up with you auto cars......there is still more in it N/A but I wanted some instant satisfaction

The 60' is fine, it's the 330 and 1/8th that really need work. It'd run 10's N/A if the 330/660 were more inline. It rips through the back half.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postkeep up? whats the full slip look like? I was under the impression that a stick car would need closer to 125mph to run a 10 sec slip.Doing less with more

I'll post it later - it's at home.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postwhats the full slip look like? I was under the impression that a stick car would need closer to 125mph to run a 10 sec slip.
It usually take 125 mph for a stick car to run 10's - my 1/8th mile mph is 94-95 - so I'm gaining 27-28mph in the back half, which is high for a mid 11 second car.2000 Formula

agreed thats pretty good for back half in that ET range, mine doesn't even gain 25mph. Let Larry make a pass

It's the 6 speed voodoo - it needs some spin, just not to much. Hopefully the track prep is more consistent on Saturday and I can find that fine line between spinning/hooking.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postagreed thats pretty good for back half in that ET range, mine doesn't even gain 25mph. im hoping to break high 13's rather then 15.0 with the old ta. the new ta is just a lt1 with hypertech tune and 3.73 gears. thought about boost or running spray but havent made up my mind. plus a bigger cam.
lotsa work ahead.

Went to the track again today.
Went the best of:
60 : 1.53
330 : 4.662
1/8 : 7.244
MPH: 95.16
1000: 9.464
1/4: 11.320
MPH: 122.06
2 passes later and the a 6200 rpm launch and the clutch didn't grab, and felt soft.
I let it cool down for an hour and made a pass on the nittos - went 11.7@111 (ran out of gear at the 1000' and lifted) - clutch just doesn't feel 100% now.
So I'll need to replace the clutch before I spray it, so it'll probably be fall before I can run it again.2000 Formula

Larry is perfectly happy at a 100. Not upping the shot until I can afford a stand alone fuel system.Originally posted by Formula Z View Postlarry does need to up his shot...sigpic
