Measured the air-gap too. Larry was right, it needs a shim as well. Clutch calls for .180-.210 air gap - I'm at .250ish.

It'll probably be Monday or Tuesday before the shim pack gets here

Fought with the trans for a couple hours this weekend - I gave up and ordered a steel alignement tool.

The plastic one flexes and I can't get the trans in

Hopefully this week I'll be banging some gears.

Lol, I drink enough for both of us. Been tough putting off buying a new rear housing. Got the coin, but just fed up after all the b.s. this year, decided it is in my best interest to just wait til next year to fix mine.. Hope you make it to the track this year!

I thought about it - but I figured gas + time to come get it....would cost nearly as much as the ram install tool. Plus I figure this isn't going to be the last time I'll be doing this!

Alignment tool came today - damn why didn't I buy one of these earlier. Trans almost jumped into the car. No fighting, wiggling...just slid right in.

Tomorrow I'll fill the trans, bleed the clutch and beat the crap out of it

I hope you get this sorted out so you can make a few passes yet this year. I'm currently planning on Stanton either Oct 7th or 14th in case you're ready...
