This build won't happen till probably July because I am going to be switching jobs.
But for a teaser here on some build specs.
Block: Converted to a 4 bolt.
Bore: 4.040 (its already 30 over but needs to be bored because some are a little lose on the .030 over)
Crankshaft: 3.75" Forged Callies Dragonslayer
Rods: 6" Forged Callies Ultra I beams
Pistons: Diamond -31cc Dish Pistons Forged, possibly a custom order from them.
Caps: Howard Billet 4 bolt caps.
Compression Ratio: Undecided
So if you do the calculations its going to be a 385ci with a compression of Undecided.
I'm not going to expose the top end yet because I still am working on deciding what I want to go with, have a pretty good idea but not sure yet.Last edited by Fox Slaughter; May 7th, 2012, 11:05 PM.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Fitting that is since I am a tree trimmer and shove lots of trees through the chipper. I probably chipped a few money trees too! Damn I'm digging through the chips tomorrow.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Ah yes I forgot that haha.Originally posted by ryanwarby01 View PostI remembered that, being I work for Vermeer and all.
Now looking at Rear Main Caps, Howards makes a Dry Sump, Wet Sump, both says up to 85. Would these work? I can't seem to find any other ones.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Alright I have been absent for a while due to jumping through hoops to get employed by DTE Energy. Got the job so funds are starting to build.
I think I have lost my mind though haha. Sadly, my July/August plans have been obviously shot. So I hope to build this engine over winter.
The plan is to have it done, ready to drop in by next spring. We all know how plans go though.
Speaking of which, the plans have changed on this.
New Plans:
Same bottom end as before, compression is going to be 9:1.
Topend all I'm going to say is going to be TFS 21* heads by AI.
The rest of the top end is going to be a secret.
Once I get situated with my finances again I will be ordering in parts.Last edited by Fox Slaughter; September 2nd, 2012, 10:43 AM.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Does that stand for Force Induction or Fuel Injection? If so, you are part right and part wrong.
