            • LS7 lifters are the LT1 factory replacement lifters now. If you went into a dealer and asked for lifters for an LT1 that's what they'd give you. Summit had the best price on them when I bought mine a couple years ago.

To slow Jim. 28 years haven't treated you so well. I guess for your birthday I will get you some tennis balls so you put them on your walker so it will slide

                  • i believe you may have you change out your pushrods for shorter ones, if you go to the ls7 lifter. not sure on this..

                      • yeah according to some stuff on ls1 tech, the ls7 lifters are .050 taller seat comparied to LS1 stock lifters. not sure about an LT1 though...

                        • So they replaced the LT1 lifter with a piece that doesnt work with the other hardware? That doesnt make any sense.

                          • well like on my car, i had ls7 lifters put in and they replaced the pushrods with shorter ones. I think as a rule of thumb, lifters and pushrods are normally replaced, because of how inexpensive they are, i think i paid like 130 for the lifters and 112 for pushrods.

                            • I should probably check pushrod wear on my rockers sometime -- when I did my cam I went with stock length hardened push rods even though I had LS7 lifters and my heads milled.

                              • Nate i may actually have a set of trickflow 7.150 rods i didnt use (stock is 7.2 i believe). If so you can have them.

Also nate i agree that changing measurements is kinda a bum thing of them to do but look at it this way, the additional lifter height could mean a more functional lifter if there is added seat travel.
