Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Had Joel stop over and help me with adjusting the rocker arms. I think the drivers side are perfect but the passenger side makes a noise. There is also one rocker that shoots oil out much more than the others.
What causes this?
I had all of my lifters tested at the engine shop but thats all I think it could be?
Nates car was very different than mine in terms of rocker adjustment. The first rocker i adjusted seemed to work like it should. Tighten to zero lash, then about 360 degrees after the valve started to open so we backed it off 180 and set it there. There were several lifters though acting like it was a solid roller or something though. An eigth turn past zero lash and the valve was starting to open. Even after running the engine to prime the lifters so we tried engine running method instead and got it close as we could but no matter what we did, one on the passenger side would make noise once the car warmed up... Did it after 3 adjustmemts. Im stumped, but i think the issue is lifters. Mine adjusted consistent across the board.
The lifter that was pumping 3x as much oil as all the others seemed odd to me too. Even at idle it was flinging it off onto the header while the rest just dripped. I suspect thats the one making noise but it never did it for us with the cover off in the garage, always after a few miles down the road.

I think mine are still off, I'm not sure how much noise they should make.

thats odd, could a lifter or something be too tight or loose that oil is coming up too fast? also just throwing this out here i have the oil hole clips for rockers if you need them they might help your spraying issue when your adjusting them if you want to borrow them.
Yeah id agree that damaging one or more would have been possible on the install. If it were me i think id start looking into a set of lifters. Sucks, but not worth wiping out a brand new motor over
