        • just find a 1993 six speed car for sale and swap tranys then sell the other car! best way imo and if you end up finding a newer 94-95 or 96-97 just swap the harnesses

          • While I'm gathering parts for the 6 speed swap, this weekend I'm going to attemp to change my wot shift points. Once I get them closer to my peak rpms (6200) ill get some 315 Toyos drs and hit the track. I have been itching to go but it's pointless when at wot my 2-3 shift is at 4600-4800ish.

I picked up a t56 crossmember and a short stick from Jim (birdie2000). Ill be getting the trans and bellhousing from Patrick (infinite_ocean) this weekend, hopefully he has the lower shift boot ill need too as well as the dust cover. One of my buddy's had a set of pedals he gave me.
Ryan (ryanwarby01) is hooking me up HUGE! Getting a pro 5.0, ram clutch, flywheel and pressure plate and torque arm.

I ordered a complete master, lines and slave from rockauto for $132 shipped. Should be in Friday.

Also I'm going to keep looking go a upper m6 console, Bob (93z2802ss) has one for sale but I'm being a cheap ass, plus, it's isnt a necessity at this moment.

I'm sure there are some other things I'm missing (don't have the list in front of me.
Hopefully ill hear back from liberty gears today if they sell stock rebuilds for the trans.
Are there any major/minor things that are weak in the t56 stock form?

            Any tips/suggestions would be great.

What could/should I sel the 700r4 and stall for?

            • Get that thing shifting where it should and it will run real good. I will say bottom 12's with a 1.8 short time.

              • Jacked the car up today.... Ha

Pulled of my govenor cover, changed one weight out.

my 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are much longer ~6100 (I heard stick tach is around 300rpm off is that true?

Seems like I need to figure out my 1-2 shift, it's still around 5300-5500 ish, video is uploading, give me a minute.

                • Its off but its not a "set" RPM off. It can be up to 300 rpm off, but it varies depending on how fast you are accelerating etc. Main reason i have a digital tach on my column.

                  • I talked to liberty gears yesterday. They said they don't sell a stock rebuild kit they just replace what is needed. I'd really like for everything that can be replaced to be replaced. I only want to have that trans out once and do it right. Should I jut give it to my trans guy and tell him to replace everything that can be? Should I replace the forks?

                    For my 17x11s.
I can get some Nitto NT05r's for $378 to my door or some Toyo Proxes for 379. Or should I just get some street tires for them and throw some drs on the 17x9s?

Sanded down and primed the t56 torque arm. Silver or black? I know the stock ones aren't great but it'll do for now.

                    • I noticed the same thing under my car the beginning of this year, lol. Surprised the bolts were still there!

I am of no help on the t56 other than liberty is supposedly the best there is.

Id go black on the tq arm for sure.

Apparently. Only difference I have noticed is the 700r4 has "square" holes cut out in the center. I haven't set them side by side though.

                          • This may be a dumb question, will I have to swap my entire harness out (for the m6)? Entire as, injectors, temp sensors, oil pressure sensor, etc....

                            • Call Joe @ Downriver Motorsports Wiring. He might be able to add the wiring to your existing harness with less hassle if that's the case. IIRC from the 93 I had I think you're right.
