thanks for bringing the driveshaft loop to the m&g.
I think... Possibly I have been thinking of swapping to a 6 speed....
Under 2 conditions-
first I want to see what it will run after I put a tire on it and get my shift points where they need to be.
secod I need to have this trans sold before I pull the trigger on a t56 and the remaining parts ill need.
also I still want to change my exhaust setup. I don't mind the loudness but still need to clean the tone up.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

If you're really that bored, I have a bumper I need painted...
Seriously, a 6 speed is the only thing that car is missing. Good choice. I don't doubt in the least that it'll help it sell better if you decide to do it.

What do you guys think is a reasonable price to sell my 700r4 for? Pro built 650 hp kit (all the goodies) revMax 3600.
what would it cost for all the parts for the swap? Obviously ill be paying more for it than what ill get for the 700r4 plus ill need a good clutch.
Thanks Joel. I love the sound at idle but it gets raspy and an awful tone cruising. I really need to get some small leaks taken care of too.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

Something else I was thinking about. I bet it's going to be a pain (if even possible) seeing that I have a 700r4. Won't I need a different PCM? What's the difference from a ls1 and lt1 t56? There is a "complete kit" to do the swap for $1900 on Craigslist. That's a lot of coin to drop

Don't know about the PCM differences, but I imagine it's something whoever did your mail-order tune could take care of.
LS1 tranny/clutch/etc. won't work on an LT1. It's probably going to cost $1500+ when all is said and done for the conversion. The trans itself usually goes for $900-1,100 the last time I looked.
That said, DO IT.

I know the LT1 uses a pull style clutch and the LS1 does not. Your pcm should be an easy change, but your wire harness might have to be modified.sigpic
