Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
The K&N CAI comes with a "filler" piece for 1993 cars.
You can have mine if you want.
Can I swing out your way tomorrow night? Or Saturday? Shoot me a pm. Thanks
I picked up a new temp sensor, a few band clamps. Also got 2 drain plugs for the ory bungs.
I went to install the exhaust and realized my dyslexia ass ordered 3.5" od x 3" id reducers instead of 3.5" id x 3" od... Grrr...
Found out my oil leak is coming from the oil filter. Hopefully it's because I put it dry on dry. I'll be changing the oil tomorrow night and putting a new filter on after we adjust the rockers.

Never put an oil filter on dry. Also put some clean oil on the o-ring. When you take it off now, make sure there is only one gasket. It will leak if the old gasket was still on and you doubled up the gasket.

Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!

Any other time I fill her up with oil and lube the seal a bit but the filter has been on for awhile and wasn't even expecting to run this filter.

We have done it both ways, I did the 8 and 8 method on mine. Hard part is feeling drag on push rods since you really don't have oil in the lifters. On B's car we did it before the intake was on so I could watch the top of the lifters, I thought that was easier.

1998 Trans Am Convertible A4 - WS6 hood, WS6 air lid, WS6 rims, drilled/slotted rotors.
I wish I could spray everything all at once but I want the least amount possible in the booth with the car when I spray that. I'm using the same gun and it's all coming from the same gallon of paint, same color sealer too. Plus even bumpers from the factory on brand new cars don't match worth a broke dick lol. I think I should be ok. But I know where you're coming from.
I know what you mean there. When I sprayed my car I did all the gfx bumpers, mirrors, spoiler etc separate. Then the car the next day. It looks good but with metallics it will never be perfect. Most of the time the smaller piece even bumper covers tend to get more base coat/ paint cause they are a smaller piece then when you are doin the whole car.

Got the front bumper sprayed today. Ended up keeping the bottom ppm.
Took it for a spin. It hasn't seen 45mph in 2+ years... Then I realized I only had 3 lug nuts on each wheel. Luckly I remembered this before disaster.
Oil leak fixed itself. My temp guage only got to the 2nd hatch mark on guage?
My trans is acting up. It won't engage into park. We attempted to fiddle with the shifter linkage but it won't go in to park unless we physically push the nob going in to the trans forward. I'm going to ask trans guy what's up with that. She does great burnouts. I only did a baby one.
Correct reducers will be in Monday.
Installing rear springs Monday also.
Edit: adjusted the rockers. It went well. Tightened up ds bolts. Dropped the trans a bit to tighten the trans lines. Put belt back on. Checked for leaks. All is good

Looks like you do damn good work. I wouldnt worry about parts being painted at different times. This thing is going to look NICE. I would have did the fog light area in black though.
