      • I never thought I'd say this but, the motor is in!!'
It was too dark to get any worthy pics but it went pretty smoothly.
The steering shaft is about a paper thickness away from the lts. I like the stance of the lowering springs. We got the k member bolts in, trans crossmember, steering shaft and brake lines. We accidently stripped out one of the brake lives to the main distribution block :/ looks like I'll be finding a used one.

                  • Congrats! That's definitely the most satisfying part of a project aside from the first start-up.

                      • We got quite a bit done tonight.

                        Installed/hooked up:
                        Radiator
                        Condensor
                        Fans
                        Injector wiring
                        Intake mani random connectors
                        Coolant hoses
Power & ground cables some what routed
                        Alt power/connector
                        Header panel / headlights

                        I'm sure there is more...

Some connectors fall into place, others are like where the f$&k does this go!? Lol

For some reason I can't seem to find the coolant temp sensor? Wire that plugs into the drivers head. The main ground seems to be tricky. We still have 3 "open" tubes on the water pump (pretty sure at least 2 are for heater core)

Also, there are the 2 fuel lines, then the one vacuum type line, I believe it connects to passenger side if intake but it seems difficult to route.

Hmmm I'm sure I'm missing things. It's late. Gotta work in am :/

Hope this doesn't post as one big paragraph, I'm on my iPhone.

                          • I think I should be good on the brake lines. Thanks!

Noob question, can I start the car without trans fluid? I am NOT taking it out of park. Does the convertor have to be bolted to the flywheel to start it?

I'm just trying to find out what the bare minimum will be to start her

                            • I would not, I know you said without the converter bolted up, however, I do not think that is a great idea. I would bolt the converter up and put fluid in it because anytime the engine is running the transmission pump would be turning also.

                              • Make sure you fill the converter before installing it and make sure it fully engages you should hear it click.
