Got the Bilsteins in today, gave the trans to trans guy, he said it looks to be a pretty nice kit.

Ordered a new low oil sensor. $22, will be in tomorrow.

Random thought but has this trans guy had much experience with the 700r? Just hoping he knows what to do with those parts as I know Dana tends to do some unique things with some of his stuff.

He seemed pretty confident. He said he has done a lot of them in his day. I have worked at two dealerships with him. One ge was the trans/clutch/rearend guy the current dealership he is one of 2 heavy mechanics, does motor swaps etc. He seems to know his stuff. Only time will tell I suppose.

I had a pcmforless tune with my hotcam and it was pretty good. A dyno tune would have been better, but for $500 I didn't see the value for my set up. The LT1 tunes are more limited than what you can do with a tune for a LS1. If your under a budget, you could do a mail order tune to get you by until a dyno tune. Just my .02

Noob question, does the white piece stay on? It it so the sensor doesn't get messed up or is it part of the sensor like a "float"?
