  • Which felpro? The common 1074 are 0.039 compressed if I remember correctly. Supposedly stock Impala gaskets are 0.029 and the Victor Reinz/Mr. Gaskets are 0.026, although I believe the VR gaskets are listed as stock replacement for an Impala so who really knows for sure. As of 2 years ago when I was buying parts for my one engine, the VR/Mr.G gaskets were the thinnest "normal" headgaskets on the market for an LT1.

    Also, LS7 lifters can be purchased through summit or any GMPP dealer. If you go into the dealership to buy replacement lifters for an LT1, it's my understanding that the LS7 lifter is now the official replacement.

    • you can buy a set of ls7 lifters from a dealer for around $125 a set. When I got my trick flow heads they recommended the felpro 1074 gaskets.
