Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
Man I cant wait to take my motor apart and do the little things like painting the intake. That thing looks 100% better and I cant imagine you have much $$ into it.

How are you routing your plug wires?
Not sure, haven't really thought about it. Thanks btw!! I have around $2,100 into it so far. That's not including powder coat nor paint or labor. Although the powder is pretty inexpensive and the paint is free

This pic is in base but in the pics it doesn't look much different cleared. I went with GM's WA246L. I don't think they could of turned out any better.
Edit: Cleared

I would have pulled the PCV boot, but they look good! I wish I did a better job on mine. They are fine for now since I will be going with aftermarket later on
Does anyone know if I have to take out the baffle inside the Valve cover to clear my rockers? I know I have to trim some supports.

If they look like the one in the picture you linked I may be concerned. If they do cover completely but are a little off center I wouldn't care.
I removed my baffle for my Ultra Pro Mags, although I never checked if I could leave it or not as I read it wouldn't fit with it on.
On your intake manifold. If you wanted to port it for a 58mm TB you should have done it before the cleaning, sorry to chime in so late. The reason why is because the aluminum shavings just go everywhere! After the intake manifold is ported to proper size I HIGHLY recommend getting it fully cleaned right after or else you'll have some fun finding aluminum shavings in your oil pan. For most applications 48mm is enough, 52 is used sometimes but most just jump to 58mm if they buy something larger.
I was planning on opening up the tb holes of the intake but got crunched with time
My buddy thinks the rocker will be okay, it is one on each side. Personally I'm worried about it. I'm going to do some more research.
We got a lot done tonight!
Torqued heads
installed rockers
Installed valve covers and gaskets
Installed intake
Plugged one of the egr ports in back of intake, gotta fab another for the big one
Got the banjo bolts and coolant crossover installed with new seals
I lost my harmonic balancer bolt and the 3 little bolts to the pulley so we couldn't get that on.
Next week is motor mounts (suggestion on place/price?) my buddy said he can get them for $25 each. Should I just split open the clams and reuse?
Also next week the water pump and opti will be getting installed.
Pics!!!
