Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
Long story short o found my motor mounts at my friends house, I must have taken them there to sand blast. I also found the 6 little torx bolts to my tb cover plate thing. Double WOOT!
We installed:
Hub
Crank pulley
EWP
Opti
And the other egr plate
We got the old rubbers out and the new polys in the motor mounts.
For what ever reason, the washer that I got with the arp hub bolt was too big (width wise) so I'll have to hunt down one of them.
I left the EWP thermostat housing bolts in my box at work.
I need to get a few nuts. One for egr plate the other for motor mount bolt.
I'm going to spray the mm brackets at work this week.
Next I gotta buy the trans kit, I spoke with the builder today. He said to let him know when it came in...there goes my tax return.
Suggestions, comments and opinions are welcome

Nice progress, looks great! I'm looking forward to hearing this run.
Thanks! Me too, it's my first cammed car so I'm pretty stoked it won't sound as nice as yours though

That effing sucks, I just ordered one of those for mine yesterday... Same item number as yours
My only guess is because it's made for a standard 350. I'm not sure though. I'm just going to get a hardened washer of the proper size.

I grinded down the motor mount brackets today. They were very rusty. They really needed to be sandblasted but who's really going to see them? Good enough for the chicks I'm dating!

You're right. After reading what you said I looked at applications and it says nothing about GENII motors being able to use them. In fact, there are no balancer crank bolts that I saw once I narrowed it down to LT1 only on Summit. I got mine today and I hate to tell you (especially since I told you to get it) but I would just return it and go to a dealer and get a new one. The ARP bolt is much longer than the OEM bolt and having the correct size bolt and material in the crank is crucial. You don't want it to bottom out the threads and not really sit tight when you think it is. Basically that whole ARP bolt kit is wrong washer bolt and all, it just isn't worth the risk to make it work IMO. I will be returning mine tomorrow, I was really disappointed.
Well that blows, what if I doubled up the washer? Do you have a link to the proper washer and bolt?

Do you guys know the length of the bolt? I'd rather grind mine down a little.
Edit: I guess the monster trans rebuilds kits aren't great but I have only heard that from one person. I have seen kits from $450-$800+
I did just make an expensive purchase though

do you have harmonic balancer on already? Either way you can measure the depth of the threaded hole and then the hub of the balancer. If its on already then measure from balancer to bottom of hole, then measure from balancer to landing in balancer, subtract the difference and I would allow 1/4 inch to not bottom out. Depth gauge would be best but there are a lot of ways to improvise. One word of caution: be careful that shank of bolt is not to long and hits threads before bolt threads bottom out.
If I were you I would go to dealer and buy the correct bolt and washer!

Yes the harmonic balancer is on. I can't seem to get the bolt through gm. I lost my stock one or id compare it to that. I found out the stock length so when I get home I am going to determine if it is too long or not. If not I just need to find the correct size hardend washer.
