Heres an option Michael its a glowshift digital tach and shift light mounted to the column. Was about $50. I had one in the pillar before and honestly never paid any attention to it in that location.

yep if you get the number or manufacturer of the motor I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to fix yourself, you just have to tear into it and have a look. when mine locked up like that the shaft had somehow sheered off, I made a new one using some stainless round stock and machined the flats and bolt holes. Also the screws on mine came loose on more than one occasion causing it to lock up, loc-tite is highly recmooended.

Either way you go.. E-cutout you will be taking a chance..some just have better luck than others Michael

Jeff sounds good to me! This guy on LS1tech had same problem with his DMH, and ordered parts from another company and fixed it himself. Used a raceready gearbox and etc. Mounted great to the DMH..apparently all you need to do is call them up and give a motor number and they can match it up for you? Then its up to you to do the rest..which I would have no idea lol. My cutout is just sitting in my closet along with the block off plate

Dunno, something in the gearbox or motor. It just locked up, wont run in either direction.

I can try, we have been busy at work but I have some resources at my disposal. May cost a few bucks but I can try, what is wrong with it Spencer? If its the motor I don't think I'll be much help but the parts I may be able to make or fix.

if your ever out this way rolo I can take a look at it if you don't mind dropping it off for a few days. I can't guarantee anything but my dad and I fixed my QTP on several occassions. We even made a new shaft after it broke and it came out great, still working to my knowledge.

I have RaceReady -- good product, when I bought it they were doing lifetime warranties... but I think a new company bought them and I'm not sure if they're still doing lifetime or not.

Thanks Nate. I'm pretty excited to wrap it all up and take it for a spirited drive.

Cool thanks for the heads up.
I found one for $130 shipped on tech, brand new. Might hop on that.

How about shift lights? Any good brands? I'm thinking of taking my trans temp gauge out of my pod since its no longer needed and modifying that hole for a shift light.

I'm not sure on the cone. The over the axle part is welded to the muffler.

edit: I definately plan on pulling the bullet for a cutout. Where is the best place to get an electric cutout? I can add it to my manual cutout right? Nick hooked me up with 2 manual cutouts.
