            • Thanks for all of the compliments guys!

And larry, anxious does not even begin to describe my feelings at the time, lol.

Ill get something better tomorrow, had to run to work today. Ill get it off the stands and pull it out in the car port, let it learn a good idle and get another clip or 2.

                • No cam mike, but since you pointed it out, the ls1's came with a cam of 116, 117, or 119 LSA(depending on the year), while this particular year 5.3, has a cam with a 114 LSA, making it sound a little more lopey than a stock ls1 your used to hearing.

                  • Wow, sounds really good! I was wondering why it sounded so lopey. Failure for not getting a vid on the exhaust, hopefully you will redeem yourself tomorrow

                    • Well, its just open headers, and I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to make sure it had coolant and all the other fluids were topped off, if my buddy would have brought a tripod he could have been helping and we could have maybe had some more fun. Cant beat on it yet though, doctors orders, I just have to get it aligned, to the exhaust shop and deliver to phil for tuning. Once I get it back though, well, there will be some good videos then, I promise!

                        • This was actually the second start up, things were way to busy and we didnt have enough hands to video the first one, with oil pressure, coolant, tranny fluid, etc, it just wasnt possible.

I was actually pleasantly surprised how well it actually did start! I ran it over with the fuel pump relay out and the coil packs unplugged for 10 -15 seconds to prime the oil pump and build some pressure, plugged the packs and relay back in, cycled the ignition to let the fuel pump get some gas up there, and turned the key. It had a pretty hard time finding an idle at first, (and still does after you give it some gas) but thats all in the tuning.

I really only had one thing to worry about on start up, oil pressure from that o ring. You and B, having lt1's dont quite have the same issue. But I would be a little more nervous in your situation I think, just because the motor came more apart, cam, springs, lifters, etc. But your in good hands Red! Youve got a heck of a "pit crew", lol.

                            • Mine may have started first but I think yours will be "complete" first. I still have to figure out what im doing for fuel, this just isnt going to work, I cant even close the hood.......

And I still need a lid before I can drive it.
