  • Larry is correct it connects to the block just above the starter.
    Doing less with more

    • That spot where it connects just above the starter, its not there on a 5.3. Its just flat. I did move it however more twards the front of the motor, in the A/C compressor area, there was an unused hole in the block from the truck A/C system.

But I did get more done than that..... teaser pic....

            • so... are you going to get a different air lid so that it lines up with the TB or is the tube just gonna have to make a little jog?

              • Getting a different lid, this is to far out of alignment, plus I have to get the MAF in there somewhere.

                    • Sorry no pics but im at work. Got a TON done today, motor is completely in, was just sitting on a jack in the picture, tranny is mounted and has 5 quarts in it, shift cable bolted up, drive shaft in, all the wiring done, interior passenger pannel on, shock towers bolted up, and then I had to go to work.

As soon as I get home Ill be mounting the tranny cooler to the condenser, installing the tranny cooler/condenser/radiator/fans assembly, hook up the upper and lower hoses, put the battery in, followed by the lower air box, then Ill come back in the morning to start it.
