  • Well, I suppose a bit of an update is in order....

The water pump issue seems to have cured it self? I dont completely understand, but it doesnt leak anymore.

I got the new power steering pump and sure enough, that fixed that issue.

Got the new caliper on, bled the brakes (needs to be done again but its definetly drivable.)

Car was still running TERRIBLY I just assumed it was due to no exhaust and the car running rich. So my dad loaded up the exhaust and a fire extinguisher(never know) into the pickup and followed me over to the exhaust shop. An hour and a half later, my car had some nice shiny stainless tips coming out the back.

I got back in the car at the exhaust shop and the exhaust sounded just horrible, made my ears bleed. I had a fear something was a mis with the car, quite literally it was not at all running on all cylinders, my guess was 6 or 7, I literally had to put my foot to the floor to get moving. I got back to the house and got ahold of Dr.phil. He told me to check the injectors, which upon unplugging the first passenger cylinder I notice part of my problem, absolutly nothing happend. So I moved on down the passenger side of the motor until all 4 injectors were unpluged on that bank of cylinders and sill not one dip in RPM! My dad and I were in awe, we knew somthing was SERIOUSLY wrong. Confering some more with phil I discovered there was no power to the passenger side injectors and coils. I guess there is a fuse for this, labled inj 2. The 3.8 cars do NOT use this, while the ls1 cars do, so when changeing harnesses this was overlooked as its part of the chasis harness. So after pulling another harness apart we found the terminal we needed and ran some wire over to the c101 conector pin B. And voila this thing purred like a kitten. Throttle response was AMAZING, it was like it was completely tuned and ready to go!

I want to thank Brad(tenaciousB) for getting me a lid, it got me up and going.

But thats where the fun ended, normally my insurance company is open on saturdays, but due to the holiday there not sooooooo, the fun has to be restrained to the driveway till monday. (yes I drove it to the exhaust shop without it but I had a legit excuse)

So I have pictures and a SHITTY video. So here they are.

I kinda like the raked look the extra weight of the iron block adds

Then this a**hole left these 2 big black marks in the driveway, no pictures or videos were taken to protect this "a**holes" identity. Hehe. Even my dad smiled, and he hated this whole project.

Cool, sounds like a plan. Tuesday I have a huge break from 12:20-3:35, as well as after 4:35.

So figure any time between 1 and 3, and 5-7, any time in particular better?
