Yeah I like it a lot more also. I didn't know if I wanted to spend the extra $$ on the Candy. But WOW.....Yeah I'm glad I did. I like the way it flip flips in the sun.8-O

      • Yeah slowly starting to put it back together.

I got the weather stripping around the trunk on.
Also the weather stripping under the hood, and around the doors on as well.
I cleaned all the parts out of the inside, cleaned up all the screws ect.
I'm going to take the seats out and clean them.
Then I can also steam clean the carpet and floor mats.

I'm going to start to put the front end back together.
Front ground effects, head light lids, all the small vents and spoilers.

Were going to black out all the side marker lights and the tail lights. Then I can put those back in.

I also bought a new t top center bar that we have to paint (black) before I can put the new t top weather stripping back in.
Thats prabably going to take the longest. The T top weather strip is a pain in the butt!
My front windshield needs to come out to put a new molding back around it.
If it breaks coming out a brand new one will be put in. (no biggie)

        Still needs to be wetsanded.
        I think were going
        1500
        2000
        3000
I was thinking 4000, but I don't think we need to go that far.

On a good note, we put the 455 in my nephews 72 formula....and it runs great!
It really has a nice thump to it.

On my nephew Justyn's car...Not sure.
We had to cut the ignition wire to start it. They didn't have time to look at it today.

But the 455 sounds NASTY! 4.10 rear end will be in sometime soon.

                    Thanks Sean!
I'll be working on it everyday this week after work.

                    • Well cars down for the count.
I'm so pissed off, but there's nothing I can do.

Started to put the ground effects back on and they not the same color. They don't match.

Bryan (my bro in law) called me and looked at it and confirmed it. I thought the light was reflecting the wrong way because the color flip flops.

So now it all gets put back together "with" the ground effects on and repainted after that. I was thinking screw it, I'll drive it like it is. But I want it perfect, I've waited this long for a "show" car that I can be happy with.

I'm just pissed off because nothing ever works out like its supposed to for me. I worked so damn hard on that thing. Long days, long nights, and now I need to do it all over again.
Not to mention the $$$ its going to cost me for more paint and supplies that I don't have.

                      DAMIT!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so freaking pissed.
                      Sorry for the rant.

                      • Doh! Thats no bueno senor. I've had a similar experience.. My car was repainted back in 2004, my mom was backing outta the driveway leaving for work when she hit my fresh paint job. OUCH! Luckily she paid for it.
