LE's knowladge in cams has never steer'd me wrong. comp grinds all his cams for him. he figure his number him self. A.I. has actually sent people wrong cams that are out of spec. wrong lobe lifts. wrong lsa's so on. i was one of those guys on 2 occassions. L.E. had a gear issue a while back but was not due to his control comp was throwing wrong gear on them. thus he end'd up with the problem. How ever L.E.'s heads are not as well desighned as A.I.'s so that why i go there. iv flow'd both there heads side by side just playin around and A.I. did a better job.Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostI agree, sounds like a great cam for what you want to do with the car.
I've seen you say this on here before. I'm curious, why do you like LE's cams better than AI's, especially when using AI's heads?

Aaaaamen. i cant tell you how many times iv had a customer in my garage with a really nice build. they get there panties in a bunch and start cutting corners and costing them selve's 2 times the money. i hate the fact that i lower my work rate to help poeple to build there rides, then they cut corners all becouse they either dont want to save for the right parts, or there overly eager to drive the car. its not like i over charge them by no means. i used to charge $95/hr when i had my shop. now i charger alittle under $30/hr. guess im going to have to stop being so nice....Originally posted by c0ncEpT View PostLooks like your going in the right direction to building a strong running car. Remember don't cut any corners! People that spend not only the money but time to do all the small things are the ones that are rewarded in the end.
that sounds about right. don't forget you pistons are in the hole alittle so your just alittle lower in compression than that. your push rods should be somewhere around 7.200 stock lenght with the ls7 lifters. (still double check and messure anyway). but you should be darn close. your heading the right direction. look into a set of impala head gaskets i cant remeber GM's part # so you may have already posted the same one above but those are thinner compressed than the f-body.Originally posted by jderry View PostIt's saying it's be like 11.7, either way that should be fine with 93..
Just ordered my rockers, gaskets, and timing chain.
They're saying .006 is equal to 1 cc
so .020/.006=3.3333
58-3.3333=54.667
http://www.dmperf.com/compression.htm
using that calculator, it says I'd come out to 11.85:1
