if you get head work done i would opt for a 5 angle valve job. it will help alittle. key word alittle.

I sold my truck today, so it's looking like I have some more money to play with.

Planning on the 228/238 .576/.571 110 LSA CAM

      Comp 26918 springs
      Comp 795 retainers
      Comp 611 locks
      Comp 1618 rockers
      Comp 3307 timing chain
      GM performance .028" head gaskets

      I already have the
      LS7 lifters
      GM Performance studs
      Comp Viton valve seals

      and more

I agree, sounds like a great cam for what you want to do with the car.

I've seen you say this on here before. I'm curious, why do you like LE's cams better than AI's, especially when using AI's heads?

Looks like your going in the right direction to building a strong running car. Remember don't cut any corners! People that spend not only the money but time to do all the small things are the ones that are rewarded in the end.

Amen. Will you be doing the white oil pump spring? I don't think my bearings would be alive today if i didnt do that.

What would my compression ratio be if I milled the heads .02 and used a .028 gasket over the .05?

Thats what my setup is, i calculated 11.4:1. Your engine will actually be very similar to mine, just a Very slightly larger cam.

It's saying it's be like 11.7, either way that should be fine with 93..

Just ordered my rockers, gaskets, and timing chain.

They're saying .006 is equal to 1 cc

                                so .020/.006=3.3333

                                58-3.3333=54.667

                                http://www.dmperf.com/compression.htm

using that calculator, it says I'd come out to 11.85:1
