I'd like to get in on the bet but I'm not even sure what the road manners are like for my car yet

Torque arm installed! Campbell what do you think of these angles? 1st pic is axle, 2nd is driveshaft.
Also, does the bracket look close to the tunnel or is this normal?

You might need to use that second set of bolt holes if the TA makes contact with the floor. Mine is close too, but I'm waiting to see if I actually have an issue before going through the hassle of cutting through that thick steel to use those holes.

Gotcha, I think I'll do the same. My car is fairly close to stock height right now, surprised it would be that close. Could always just let it "self clearance" ...
Maybe I can grind that corner down too.-Joel

Or hammer the tunnel. The previous owner of my car clearanced the tunnel for his 9" rear so I may just further the job if I need to. Obviously you're not above taking a BFH to the floors.

Now what makes you think that??

Mine is damn close as well. You need to remember that when the suspension is compressed the rear will get pushed to the drivers side a little bit.
The first angle picture seems like it isn't straight on with the meter. I'd say the pinion needs to go down maybe a little more, not much though.

We'll call that 1.5* up
Still hard to tell.
Get a good measurement of your trans output shaft (if possible)
If I were to guess at it though, I'd do 1/2 to 1 turn CC (out) on the lower heim joint. You're within spec but on the low end, especially for a manual. Mind you this is the information I got from UMI

Have a link to the UMI info? Ive been going from threads on LS1tech, im a bit unclear on why people are saying to measure the output shaft... are you supposed to shim that if its out of spec or something?Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostWe'll call that 1.5* up

Finding good info on how to adjust your TA is a pain. If you ask 3 people you'll get 3 different answers. I just followed the manufacturer's instructions to start and will mess with it on the street/track if it doesn't behave how I'd like.
