Is it sitting in your garage or his garage? Have him cut the accessory belt and then try to start it. I've heard of the accessory pullies freezing up so solid that the engine won't even turn over.

Yeah if you take the serp belt off and try to start it that will give you a better idea of whats going on. If a pulley froze up the car should start or at the very least turn over... Best of luck Marksigpic

It's at his garage. He was trying to turn the alt and it was turning some when it was on the side of the road. I'll bug him about it tomorrow, he told me he probably wouldn't have a chance to look at it today.

holy crap that sucks!!!! I hope its something simple.
I had the same thing though. Thought I seized the motor, turned out to be the AC pulley. Took off the belt and it finally started up. I was like AHHHH.
$300 for a compressor is better then $3000.00 for a motor! Best of luck!sigpicComment
