No - but an AC condenser could.

Was it pulled out, or just didn't have one? If it was disabled, did he pull the condenser out?

Yeah, I highly doubt a tensioner would stop the motor from turning over.. Good luck Mark!

Pretty sure it's pulled out, but not sure. I haven't looked much.

There's no tubes for the A/C but the compressor is *probably* still there because the belts look unchanged from the engine bay pics you took. The alternator and the power steering is in the stock location - if they deleted the AC I doubt they would have left the alternator on top.

Talked to him tonight and asked if I could go over there real quick and pull the belt off. He said ya and he'll either leave the keys for me, or just do it him self real quick. So as long as it's not pouring ran I should find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I'm still waiting to find out what's up with mine. He was suppose to go over there today around 1-2 to either just put the keys in it for me or to check him self. Called around 3 and he said he'd be heading there in about an hour and call me. I stopped by over there around 5:30-6 and car was still locked up and everything, still no phone call. I'll be stopping by tomorrow on my way home from work since I drive right by the shop and making him do it.

Getting ready to just have it towed home for now and having someone else work on it.

So it's the engine. The AC compressor is bypassed so that's not the problem. He said he's going to get it on the lift this week and start looking. He said it could be possible that just a rod broke or something and just the bottom end will need to be rebuilt.

But until he gets it apart it most likely that I'll need a new engine
