Yeah I hear ya...my car needs shocks too but it can get expensive for a car that's not my daily.

    • Quick question.

I have a very small exhaust leak coming from the drivers side. It appears to be right behind cat where the y pipe comes together.

Is there some type of gasket? Doughnut gasket? My buddy that works at a part store said nothing comes up.

      • no gasket that I can remember. I think it was just a flange-and-ball setup...IIRC, just make sure it's lined up and seated properly, and torque 'er down well.

          • I couldn't agree more. Although I'd be buying just to use them for a year or 2. Not sure if it's worth it.

                Not I.

I need some insight on what way to go with this car. I hate pulling up at stop lights and hearing the car next to me

Do I get a set of long tubes, ory and a catback or a set of duals for a year or so then proceed with the turbo build or do I spend that money on a turbo cam and a set of 317s and some valve train?

                • Well, stock exhaust sucks. So I don't know if you get new exhaust with the turbo package. But I would upgrade the exhaust. No sense in building your engine if you can't get exhaust out in a timely manner.
                  So my vote is exhaust!

The turbo kit I have coming comes with exhaust. Long tubes, ory and any type of catback will be completely useless for the turbo.

                    • ahh okay. Do you have a timeline for the turbo kit? I wouldn't do exhaust if its around a year or so. Unless you come across a good deal, otherwise don't mess with the exhaust. No sense in wasting money

                        • Then I say keep that stock exhaust on. LTs + ORY + Cat back is going to cost a few $$$.

                              • You can pick up a catback and adapt the down pipe from the turbo into it! Or if interested I can get you a set of true duals and possibly long tubes for the time being at a great price!
