    Absolutely!

    ----

I lowered the car today. Cut around 1 and 3/4 of a coil off the front, new shocks, stock shock mounts (thankfully). Rear is cut 1 and 1/4 coils, Stock isolators. I may do a bit more or just do the heater hose mod.

Looks great! I personally like the stance as it is.

I'll drive it for awhile and see how it sits/settles and go from there.

I'm hoping to have it out next weekend.
If so, tint will be next week. Then take it to work for a good rubbing/ clean up.

Wheels are on. I love it. I wish the sun was out to make the metallic pop but I'll have plenty of summer to whore it out.

Took it for a spin around the block. It rides way better than I expected. The passenger side upper mount we tried to salvage is making a clunking noise. So ill be ripping apart that side again tomorrow and replacing it.

I still think the hose mod in the rear is needed.

Okay so I need some help here.

I replaced both front shocks. I had a clunking noise coming from the right front (never noticed when everything was stock).

Replaced the upper mount, not as bad but still there.

If i jack the car up or drop it back down it creaks/clunks from what seems to be the upper a arm. I was thinking the bushings could be bad but i never noticed it when I first bought it. I sprayed some wd40 (all i have at the moment) on the upper a arm bushings and it didn't change.

Side notes, the front right tire was bald on the very outside edge (on the stock wheels when I bought it).
The right side seems to really slam over bumps compared to the left, like its night and day. Could the new shock be bent or be bad somehow?

              Suggestions?

Looking good! I think it needs a little more low in the back, heater hose would be perfect. As far as clunking sway bar end links?

Thanks Sam, it will be lowered a bit more in the rear as soon as I figure out whats going on in the front. Sway bar end links are intact. Its strut or a arm related.

Edit: Trying to upload a video now.

                    • this might sound stupid but double check that everything is still nice and tight.

I have tubular upper/lower a arms and they still make noise when jacking the car up and down. maybe its just a fbody thing?

also from the video it looks like you need new bushings or a arms. they should just drop freely I would think.

I tripple checked everything. Its making noise while driving or else I wouldn't be making a big deal out of it.

I am thinking it has to be the bushings or the NEW shock is junk. Its really hitting pot holes hard so it makes me thing the shock is junk.

                              • That is weird. You can see the arm binding, and jumping as the binding releases. Never seen one like that before. Got a mechanics stethoscope?
