    • I'm thinking about that man. It'd be after the winter though

In other fantastic news, I still can't get it to sit in. But even better news. My car, which is a 97.. has door panels from a 96...

Help pls. Why is my car so damn weird? Wasn't the 97 door pieces a dark gray, not graphite?

My doors. The doors weren't replaced so they can't be 96 doors. The rpo sticker is still on it. ..

      ....dis car doe....

        • Need to remove the license plate frame and shorter it so it fits in the cavity better. Also need to finish removing the fog light brackets.

            • Would I benefit at all from slotted rotors and better brake pads or should I just c5/ls1 brake swap? I don't autox or anything. Just want a little better braking. I'm leaning on c5 brakes because my cousin had them and jesus christ they stopped that 383.

              • Slotted rotors don't do a thing for brake performance - but better pads will. Actually upgrading the brakes themselves will be the best, though - all about how much you want to spend. C5 brakes with an awesome pad will work wonders.

I think so. I just added new slotted/drilled rotors and Hawks LTS pads to my Suburban. With proper break-in, they are working better than any other combo of pads/rotors I have had on the truck in the past decade or more. Towing a 25' trailer, they were well worth the money spent.

I'm not saying you would be better off with this than the C5/LS1 swap, but there are improvements to be had over stock, short of an all-out conversion.

                  • I think I will do the c5 conversion just to say "ya I got corvette parts" [emoji38] and for the better braking of course. Fellow member here is selling the whole conversion. If he still has it when I have the funds available, I will be buying them. If not, I'll junkyard until I find some ls1 spindles and brakes

                          • 14.307 was my best time at the track yesterday.
This was my last run. Went 14.6 because my palms were sweaty.. knees weak...

Anyways, got a hurst shift knob on ebay for $17. It needs some leather dye because it is WORN

                            • Still way better than my Camaro - imagine how not-happy I was when it ran a best of 15.9.

14.3 is definitely real solid, though.
