    • No, they have a cover for the shifter. Not a boot, an actual sew-on cover for the Hurst shifter knob.

That'd be my worry - you might end up with more dye on your hands in the end, than on the shift knob...and then all over the rest of the car, your clothes, etc.

Or he could just by good condition one for $40.

I agree with the others, I wouldn't trust the dye on that. In my experience the dye rarely looks good anyway.

            I'll look into c6 knobs

Yeah. True, I don't want dye all over the place lol.

            • I bought a brand new Hurst 'H' knob from afterthoughtsauto or ws6store for like $50 I think. Well worth it.

                • I'll just stick to the ugly one

It works, it's much better than the ball. I don't really go to many shows but I will be buying a new knob some time in the future.

                        • Fellow citizens! I'm really tired and this may sound really REALLY stupid. I'm thinking about a digital water temp gauge for giggles and shits. Is it possible to tap into the harness that goes to the temp unit into the driver side head? I know there is another hole on the passenger side with an allen bolt kind of thingymajig. Just want to know if its possible to splice into the stock gauge if that makes any damn sense.

                          • I don't think it will work. The sensor in the head only has one wire going into it IIRC. The glowshift one has two wires for the sensor.

another option i would have is this http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/custo...ttachment.aspx which I don't think would be a great idea given all the cooling problems I've had

                              • I wouldn't bother with the temp gauge personally, unless your stock one is not working. Just one more to go wrong, or cause issues.
