Well after about a week straight of dicking around with it the clutch is finally good to go. Installed a tick master and I was still having issues getting into some gears at idle. Found that my brake booster was bad so I pulled that and figured I would trouble shoot the clutch while I wait on parts. Found my issue right there, a nice big bubble in the master reservoir. Since I am not using the Tick line when I installed it I lost too much fluid while hooking it up. Had to connect my slave line to the master before installing in the car and then spent about a half hour bleeding it, but it works now. 5th is pretty crunchy to get into and 3rd and 4th feel quite notchy, but that's due more to existing damage to the trans. Still, everything is working well enough that I should be able to beat the piss out of second gear for a full season before a full rebuild in the winter.
Removing the brake booster made this whole thing about 3000% easier. Took me about 15 minutes to remove it but it was completely worth it.
