I hate shit like that - some companies just make it too difficult to get in contact with them.

thanks! The wheels were a good investment for the $150 bucks I have into them. Only thing I would trade them for is black chrome.
As a small update, cleaned all fuses..fuel issue hasn't happened again. Car currently running fantastic. Hope to get cats put on next week.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

Maybe someone can clue me in a little bit, trying to make this thing as tight and reliable as possible.
Why is this all nasty? Water in oil? My black car did this too.

Among finding my lid is cracked and needs some glue/replaced, took the throttle body off. This thing is gross.

I knew it was ported but...bondo?! Damn. Should this be replaced? Could this be my goofy idle cause?

Intake has grossness on it too.

Cant really tell much but its supposed to be ported as well, who knows how well.

At this point I was thinking about taking the intake, and valve covers off. Wondering what kind of port job the intake has since the MAF and TB both look to be hack job at best. Also I wasn't given any info on what springs/rockers the car has. Could it still be on stock springs/rockers and if so, is 6500 rpm safe?Last edited by nascarnate326; April 29th, 2014, 09:30 PM.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

I wouldn't run stock pushrods/valves/rockers to that RPM with a TR224 cam. I run the same cam, Comp 918 springs, hardened rods, and stock rockers with a 6200 limit. I'm keeping a VERY close eye on the rockers since I didn't have money at the time to install the trunion kit.
Do you do a lot of short distance trips?

The stuff on the cap is due to short distance drives. Its condensation built up and doesn't have enough time to boil off since you drive short distance.
Looks like your sucking oil into the intake through the TB.

Nate, how full was your catch can? if it was full it could have been passing oil right through, thats my guess.

those rockers have no problem up to 7k rpm's.. i wouldnt worry about 6500. push rods i cannot comment on bc i dont have stock ones, but i do have stock valves and they are fine too

Good to know on the stock rockers. 6200 was my comfort level w/ the LQ4 (stock rods and bolts) and I doubt there'd be much left on the table with a stock LS1 intake.
I hear you can use the yellow LS6 springs with the cam, but Comp 918 or PAC 1518 would be my preferred choice for beehives.

I know of some stock rockers that have seen close to 7k rpm many times... No issue.-Joel
