As many know, I had to be towed 108 miles back to my home town from Woodward last night. Clutch had major noises and wouldnt go into reverse.

Yikes - well that doesn't look good. Truth be told I don't really know what I'm looking at, but the spring thing probably shouldn't look like that. And i'm assuming the thickness of those pads aren't supposed to be that thin.

They are that thin brand new. As nate and I both proved yesterday, when these clutches decide to die they die quick. I went from barking third to struggling to take off in a matter of a 50 miles. Although in his case the spring is likely was what caused the demise. Im honestly kind of surprised he has that much material left.

The paperwork that came with the car said that it was a 4 puck.

I was hoping the flywheel would be savable since its a lightweight unit but at this point its all junk.

Ordered a LS2/7 clutch kit, hope to have it back on the road by the weekend.

Thats almost 10 years ago, that spec clutch is one of the first things i did to my car and it has lasted that long!

Good choice on the LS7 clutch. I would recommend a new slave and a Tick Master while you have it all apart.

Got a new slave cylinder, fuel filter, and flywheel bolts yesterday.


Can someone look at these files and tell me why my car is running so damn lean? at one point it as pulling 39 degrees of timing and injector duty cycle was 25%, at idle.

I am hoping its just a clogged fuel filter but something is going on with this darn thing.

well since the previous post didnt get much response I posted on tech and did a little research.

Got the clutch in and good to go....except the car has 38lbs of fuel pressure now and drops as the car warms up. We put a new fuel filter on tonight.

Kinda pisses me off that a Granatelli pump appears to be dead.

Buy a racetronix and be done with it.
