    Now a couple of questions.

Is there anyone in the Lansing area that tunes? Really dont want to drive to the east side for a tune. I feel like the tune is just a little off. I also need the speedo fixed (gears).

How much would a restrictive exhaust system limit power? This car goes from 3" at the collectors down to a single 2.5. It looks like the ID of the exhaust tips is closer to 2.25. Again, feel like this is make the car a little off. It can breath in, but cant breath out. Hate to take all this brand new exhaust out but its not correct. Thoughts?

First, fix the exhaust before getting a tune, that will affect your VE and may even be why the tune seems off. Second, yes absolutely ditch that exhaust. If my LT1 was restricted with an open 3" theres no way thats sufficient for a H/C LS1.

If the tune still seems off i think a Dr Phil visit would be worth it, if not pretty much anyone should be able to fix the gears.

Jeffs car gained 40RWHP from opening a cutout instead of going threw a stock 2.75" catback.

Wow, sounds like I need some exhaust then.

Seems odd that a 11:1 H/C LS1 would be going through such a small exhaust. The bends are horrible too.

          So....whos got a cheap exhaust ?

I may be looking at getting rid of my Frankenstein Hooker exhaust... I really want to go true duals. I say it's frankenstein because there's a few clamps holding it all together to accommodate a cutout in the intermediate pipe. From the axle back it's the hooker exhaust, we just pieced together the intermediate pipes.

I may pick up your hooker if Nate doesn't. I'm really sick of mine being so loud. Nate, want to buy a dynomouth?

Sorry - nix my last post. I'm revisiting something I posted last year and think I'm going to go that route - will still need my current exhaust.

Whats a dyna mouth and how much?

I have a "do it once do it right" philosophy with this car that I learned from on my black car. True duals are the way to go but they dont come cheap. Would have to sell the black car before I could spend money on brand new true duals.

Got my strut mounts today at lunch. Once we can get those put on I can get it ready for a tune and paint.

IMO i'd save for the true duals, if that is what you really want. I wouldn't spend money on another "bandaid" setup, unless of course it comes dirt cheap.

I wouldnt mess with the engine parameters of the tune until you uncork it, that really will change everything.

Trying my hardest at a legit dupli color spray paint job. Worst case scenario its a waste of 40 bucks and time, best case it matches better than the black and silver spoiler did.

Dynomouth is like my Magnamouth, and a borlamouth

Exhaust startes as a regular SLP LM1, but many people (like me) change the resonator to a different bullet. So you just keep the 'mouth' and add w/e bullet you bought to the name.

I think I would rather wait and get the true duals that I really want.
