Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
2 inch was perfect out front. I want to go down at least another inch out back. Springs didn't settle as much as I had hoped. As long as I can get out of my driveway ill go lower.
No need to buy delete pieces. I made mine with the factory mounting brackets and some door panel Christmas trees. Same thing and its cheaper!

Yeah I'm thinking over the winter I will buy the 2 inch set. I think what I have looks pretty good but I would like the gaps a little smaller between the tires and the fender. I guess I will probably never be happy with it 100%. lol
Was nice meeting you Brian, your car looked pretty slick! I liked the lowered stance. I think I need the ground clearance mine has though, because my driveway is pretty uneven (See: Gravel pit) and I already scrape sometimes with what I've got (stock height).
Does your car have disc brakes or drums in the rear? My drum rear is in better shape than my new disc brake housing that I got out of a GTA. It's a 3.73 disc brake 10 bolt, but it's really rusty. I don't know how well the tubes will hold up to grinding the rust/sand blasting, so I'm considering just swapping the gears and posi carrier into my original drum brake rear and calling it a day.

Thanks! It was good to meet you too. Mine has a drum rear end. It wasnt too bad putting a posi in my single trac rear end. Not sure about the drum to disc swap though. In my opinion it might be easier to swap the whole rear end out. I would try to sand blast the one that you have. Then if it is in to bad of shape, you could always swap the parts over to your stock one.
Whats up guys! It has been a while, and its time to get the winter projects going. Had a blast with the car this passed summer and all of the upgrades that were done worked great. Heres a few pics from over the summer. Over the winter I am looking to find an engine to replace the 305. If anyone on here knows someone selling something worth having for a reasonable price, let me know. I will be buying as soon as the tax refund gets here. I would like to go LSX if possible. I'm planning on a 2005 and up 6.0 liter out of a Chevy truck or van. If anyone knows someone at a recycling yard or a pick and pull please let me know, or if you guys see an ad on craigslist post it up. I'm not opposed to going old school SBC if I have to, but it has to have some horsepower and be pretty much complete. Don't want someones basket case. Thanks!1.jpg333333.jpg44444.jpg5555.jpg222222.jpg

Brian has a complete wiring and all LS1 and T56 for sale at a good price. If you want to stay auto we know of another LS1/auto package complete wiring and all as well. Either of those interest you?
I might be interested Darren. Still waiting for the money to come in. At the least if I go lsx I will need all of the accessories and oil pan and dipstick tube off of a fourth gen ls1 car. I'm planning on carbing it to start with so right away I wont need all of the wiring. Eventually I would like to run the injection, but a harness swap wont be in the picture until the car gets blown apart for paint. If you get time talk to Brian about it and shoot me some numbers in a pm. Isn't the motor broken in the one he bought?
When did you move to westland and when did you start thinking about a LS swap
Whats up Greg! We moved back in April. We got a house out here for a pretty good deal. It was getting tough with the kid not having a yard to play in and me having no place to store the car. I'm still not 100% set on an LS but if I can get one for the right price that will be the way I go. Let me know if you know anyone that has something laying around. I'm open to just about anything at the moment. My uncle has an old school 350 that is fresh built and ready to go. I'm just trying to be patient because if I don't go LS now I'm sure I will probably kick myself for it. Your should be just about done.. Right?
