      • Nice! I'm curious to hear how it handles. I did this on my 94 formula back in the day but never got to finish to project to see how it drove.

        • I had these same tires when i had my 17x11s with 315s on all four and it handled awesome! It's gotta little rubbing in the back under hard cornering so I ordered some 10mm spacers. Once they're here i'll throw them on and air hammer any other spots they still touch. I can't wait to slam it through some corners!

          • With 28" rears? That's what I'm more curious about

            • Nope, this is my first experience with tires this tall.

              • '94 firebird formula.

This might be a very dumb question, so be warned.

If control arm relocation brackets improve traction, and traction breaks stock 10-bolts, should I hold off on putting mine to not put further stress on it?

                fragile, it must be french

                • Are your control arms currently higher at the body or the rear axle?

                    • Then yes you definitely need them. Factory has them about level, I'd use the brackets to get them there or just slightly lower at the rear end. If the first hole in the brackets accomplish this then I'd stop there with the stock 10 bolt. Measure with an angle finder if possible to ensure zero or slight negative in the direction of the rear end.

                      • Thanks!! I'll get them on asap. It looks pretty close to level to the naked eye, so I don't think it'll need more than the first holes.

                        • Finally got around to throwing my LCA relocation brackets. Going to try and get to the drag strip next week and maybe get a little nitrous through the 5.3.

                          • I did a auto-x at Gratten Raceway on Labor Day. Was fun to push the car through some turns with a little more speed than most auto-x. Almost makes the price of doing a day on a road coarse worth the cost for me lol.

                            • That looks AWESOME!

The most fun I ever had at an autocross was when our Grand Touring Auto Club held an autocross at a local airport. Much more wide open than the big parking lots we usually used.

Next best (locally) were always the Corvette Club of Michigan events...built for bigger cars, moving a little faster, Vs. the smaller, tighter courses used by the SCCA at that time (90s).
