  • Being able to sell so much definitely is nice. Thanks! I'll be looking into that option. Every ls1 t56 I see is 1800-2000 I have came across a few lt1 t56s for 1000-1200.

    • Well the car is running great, loud as hell and i can't wait to drive it again...

but we are having a problem with it not wanting to go into gear. i had it taken to another friends house who has a hoist, and the trans is coming back out. we think there is something leaking that is not allowing the clutch to bleed properly and it won't allow it to go into gear. we put in a new clutch master cylinder in thinking that was the problem but it didn't fix it. we think we hear a quiet squirting/bubbling noise from down inside the trans to we're going to pull it off and make sure it's all good inside. only think i can think is that the remote bleeder came loose.

i also found out that the air filter i ordered is way to small, i guess the SLP setup has a different size filter?? anyone have a proper part number on that one?

      • it shifts!!! the new clutch master cylinder i had got wasn't good, we replaced it with another one and it finally shifts!!! now i just need to find some new hood bolts and make the SLP lid setup fit in the car.

it's so close to being back on the road!

It's alive!!! it's got a handful of kinks to work out but it made it the 30min drive home on the highway.

            • Car is back home. all aligned, wiring tidyd up, just waiting to get a good tune on it and it'll be good to roll.

I traded my C6 wheels and a set of V6 camaro 16s with ET Streets for four 18x10.5, and two 18x9 C5Z wheels. Two of the 10.5s have drag radials on them now but they'll all get street tires and I'll be running 18x10.5 all around, i just love the look of a square wheel setup. of course they'll be black soon lol

Anyone interested in buying two 18x9 C5Z wheels with 255 Michelin pilot sport tires? I'll be cleaning them up and getting pics soon.

                  • Awesome . . . that looks like the one I used to have, except we had an old skateboard deck instead of plates.

                    • i have no idea what brand it is, it sat beside a barn for a loooong time until one of my friends bought it and two others. this is the first of the three to end up back in rolling condition. it still needs breaks and either taller handle bars or these ones cut and welded back up with an extension. then it'll get painted to match the car.

So im not sure why i never got notified of your tag but a ram air pontiac hood (or cowl hood) should fit the entire setup without any cutting. Or if not come close. Camaro hoods have much less room.

                          • I love goooooold and hate heat. Got bored and wrapped some stuff in gold heat reflective wrap. Got the car tuned today but still trying to figure out a high idle and the speedo still isn't right (says 35 when going 70-75).

                            • High idle could be a vacuum leak or a bad iac valve

                              • is there a way to test the IAC? i unplugged it while it was running and nothing happened.

Tomorrow i'm going to try spraying some starter fluid around and see if i find any vac leaks (with a fire extinguisher near by). I accidentally ripped my exhaust the other day so it's open header again, i feel like a dick running it in my garage lol
