                    • So much for "Road Racing on a Budget"...

It has to be just a CF overlay, right? I can't imagine that a CF shell would come anywhere close to meeting the impact requirements...

The 1992 RS I initally bought was purchased for $550. I never thought that I would own a helmet that exceed the initial cost of the car. But it was very thoughtful and nice present to recieve! I don't think it is just a overlay, but I will look inside it tonight.

I can't believe I have purchased seven 3rd gens and I have yet to drive one on the road! There is still a budget- I have made money on the cars that I scrapped and was able to keep the upgraded parts at the same time so I think as them as free (if I didn't value my time).

                          • Do you have a tracker for the money spent/made so far? If you made money on the cars you've scrapped so far, I'm really curious if you're even in the hole at this point - would be awesome if you're actually ahead so far

Yes I keep track of how much I paid for each car and a running list of what each part nets. It could be very profitable but if its not worth $20 its not worth it to me after after fees and the hassle that goes along with it.

At this point I am close to breaking even. Meaning the profits paid for the maroon 1989 RS, and the parts that I purchased (OEM Z06 wheels, fiberglass hood, T5 transmission, founders camber plates and panhard bar, C5 calipers, caliper brackets) However I still have many various parts from the previous cars that haven't sold. But keep in mind it has been very time consuming between picking up the vehicles, taking them apart, cleaning parts, listing, shipping etc and I still have some expensive parts to buy like seats, roll bar, tires...

The 1992 will be recyled this weekend so I don't know what car I will use to complete this project. This project will be on hold untill I finish a couple unfinished projects.
