If your going to swap roofs....personally I wouldnt, however I would put your cage in first. This will hold the body true, as you cut and weld the roof back on.

If I compared the two cars the 92 is a better car.Originally posted by 85z28kid View Postwhy not just use the 82 for the budget racer?? simplest hardtop solution lol
The 82 isn't very solid and it has too much "character". The 82 was originally red, then was disassembled entirely to be painted blue, now it has a macco white paint job. To make the window operate you had to touch the wires to the terminals on a 12v drill battery, rear spoiler missing, wipers didn't work, engine ran on 7 cylinders, cracked tail light, damaged bumper and fender, exhaust disconnected/rotted out, most of the gauges inop, radio not hooked up. Because the 82 had so much wrong with it I was able to buy the car for $400 less.Last edited by bri2203; December 9th, 2012, 10:41 PM.

Its a good thing you don't have access to a cutting torch. I would guess you would own the first targa top camaro.Originally posted by Darren View PostYeah the 92 is a much better car. Brian ill come over and cut the t-top bar out, then your committed. What's a couple welds between friends?

It is officially a radio delete model.

This afternoon a work a co-worker helped me align the doors and boy do they work nice!
Then I removed a few more lbs from the doors. Thanks to removing the lock cylinder, clip, and linkage the vehicle weighs 5.6 oz less. I also removed the power hatch which was another 3 lbs.

Seems to be more of a third gen thing... Those guys have more of a mullet stigma to be afraid ofOriginally posted by nascarnate326 View PostI wonder if having a hardtop will be desirable in the future.
At times, I wish mine was a hard top.

I doubt having a hardtop will be more desirable in the future. T-tops have two benefits and multiple negatives. They are nice for ventilation and head room , but they are more likely to leak, they weigh more, and they take away from the rigidity of the chassis.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostI wonder if having a hardtop will be desirable in the future.

Install roll cage.
Now they just more likely to leak and weigh more.
EDIT:
I can't speak english.
They are just now more likely to leak than a hard top and weigh more.Last edited by Fox Slaughter; December 16th, 2012, 08:32 PM.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles.
