Woolite at 4:1 with water and a boar's or horse hair brush.

I need something to bring the color back and to add color in the really bad faded area's. I should take a better picture to show what I mean but on each side of the seat (the side facing the windows) the red is faded almost completely gone.

Ok, then do the following:
Clean the areas with diluted Woolite
Spray diluted ritt dye on the area, wiping off the residue/excess after a minute
Finish the area off with red shoe polish (be sure to remove all excess polish to prevent transfer to clothing)

Saddle soap doesnt come in a color, its a leather treatment. Have you tried it at all?

ah maybe thats why I was confused, it seemed like it had different "shades" I will pick some up and give that a try too. Like I was explaining to Jentry there is a spot on each seat that needs to be "colored" or brought back out. So trying to dye it to get some color back was the ultimate goal.

On top of the seats the other thing I discovered was how poorly the speakers and head unit was wired, I described it in the shoutbox as it looks to be done by a one armed retarded kid... So I ripped it all out last night, I have new speakers for the rear (6x9's) and I am currently shopping for a nicer head unit. But to the thirdgen guys, has anyone ever done something in the dash other than a 4x6? I know its a popular thing to do and there are lots of threads on TGO about it, but almost all hacks up the HVAC, I think I might try to get some round speakers in there, 3 1/2 or 4 inch round maybe? Any thoughts.

yeah i basically just made a plate to go on one side so it uses the original outside hole and then everything just screws right together..

yeah i basically just made a plate to go on one side so it uses the original outside hole and then everything just screws right together..

wow.. umm looks like your going to have to dye that area of the seat to match i bet.

the flash makes it look worse then it really is, basement was dark. But yes thats what I was trying to portray that it needs to be dyed. Now after looking at them some more it looks like I can actually remove the seat covering... I am going to investigate it some more and see if that is possible, if it is it would make this project much easier.

However I am quite sure I wont be using these seats, so if anyone is interested!
