Alright, I can't decide if I like the car or the house better.
Very nice build man. That is some serious time investment, let along the cash. Your kid better be the happiest fella on the planet! Unless he is worried dad won't give it up when it is all done. It would be hard for me to. Honestly, really nice work. Having spent a few years in automotive restoration... you could easily many a living out of this. However, judging from the house and car arsenal, you obviously have other options for making a living. Good work!

Ok, finally painted the fuse block close-out panel and just needs a little sanding and polishing. The passenger side is next and that may prove to be quite a challenge.

I accidently came across a rearend girdle cover at a salvage in Cincinnati. (They exclusively handle F-bodys, Vettes, Vipers and a couple of others. Good place for those hard to find parts). The thing was only $65 so what the hell. It was rather rough but with a little filing, sanding, polish and paint it came out half way decent. Well, I installed the damn thing, and you can barely see it!!

Also, I think the red suspension peices should be a darker siver, but I'm still getting a lot of resistance from the crew!

Well, finally buttoned-up the engine bay this weekend. Everything that is going in there is there!
We also started it for the heck of it and suprisingly it ran.

Next comes the real PITA part of this build, color sanding and rubbing/polishing. Started with the front fascia and will work back towards the rear.

You got that right! I'm about to start the same, but I have to respray parts of the car while I go. I don't have the patience for this kind of work!Next comes the real PITA part of this build, color sanding and rubbing/polishing. Started with the front fascia and will work back towards the rear.

This job never fails to make me drool. Now I need to go get a napkin to clean myself up.
