    • We filled, bled the brakes and started the ride today and backed it out of the garage under its own power. No idle but it ran.

I'm not really concerned about cutting the springs because I have a couple of sets. It's a good experiment. Actually, when we took it outside and jounced it, the front came down another 1/4". So we are now down to 26" (wheel opng to ground). That is about as low as I want to go because of the header clearance.

      Clearance with original springs:

      Clearance with modified springs:

We are going to trailer it to a tuner to get it programmed and running properly and also have him mount my exhaust axle dumps for now. But I have a leaky power steering pump that I can't fix. I took it off three times and I'm pissed-off now. Does anybody have a spare pump for sale?

probably only an "approved" mifbody tuner .....which would narrow it down to one.

I'm actually just getting a mild tune to get the thing running and driveable so I can get it in and out of the basement this winter. Work and detailing will progress throughout the winter and then I will investigate a full dyno tune in the Spring. Maybe Victories, Katech or ............? Any other suggestions for a full dyno tune local to metro Detroit?

Oh by the way, I disassembled my power steering pump and found a small crack on the bottom of the reservoir. I scuffed it and applied some epoxy sooo we'll see if it holds.

                    • My Y-pipe has literally 2" of clearance... I scrape now and then over aprons that change pitch, but it's generally fine. I will be purchasing a new y-pipe this winter though... the catted borla I have fits terribly....

                            • Should be fine on clearance. Thats about how mine is and the only thing ive ever scraped on is speed bumps in parking lots and stuff. It looks deceiving trust me, but you should be OK.

See doctor phil for a tune. Very reasonable and does fabulous work. Hes got an interesting personality, but he is the ONLY one I would let get within 10ft of my car with the business end of an OBD-II cable, lol.
