I don't think the tuner was the issue....

        • As others said, time to go bigger and better. Bummer none the less, though... too bad it wasn't a month from now when things are dying down instead of right before the Dream Cruise.

            • Why does it seem that the meticulous, well thought out builds are plagued with issues here lately? Good luck Jim, we all know it will come back better than before.

                • Man, that sucks. But at the rate it seems like you work, this thing will be out at AE again in a month

Also, did I miss something with the rims? Since when do you have dark ones? I personally thought the chrome ones looked fantastic...

                  • Thanks guys!

                    1. No piston parts in the intake either.

                    2. Not the tuners fault.

                    3. Yes, a stronger more dependable build on the horizon.

Yea, a bummer right before the cruise and especially that the Wednesday prior to every Dream Cruise weekend. The past 3 years, we have had an employee car show around the lake until 12pm and then get a police escort to the Northwood Shopping Center at 13 & Woodard. It is a very cool all day charity event with bands, food, etc. Also, there are some "special" vehicles brought out for the occasion. I will be there and my car will be there in spirit. Stop in if you cruising that day!

But to keep it all into perspective, there are many worse things in life than frying a piston!

Yes, it could probably be put together quickly, but I'm going to take my time and not rush it for the sake of a couple of months or so of driving season left in the year. Also, Conrad pointed out that I should sell some wall art to fund the project. Good idea and I will be getting a list of "stuff" posted soon.

Here is the car in spandex sleeping

Oh the wheels, I wanted to change things up a little by toning down the wheels some. I originally wanted to match the graphic color on the hood, but chose cyber grey instead.

                    • A forged small cube motor would work well in this car. I would honestly just do rods and pistons with the stock crank in your LS2 if the sleeve isn't cracked. Good luck with the next "step" of the build!

                            Kooks 1 7/8" - 2" 3 1/2" collector outlet.

I'm contemplating selling my axle dumps with Dynomax bullets that mate up to these headers that I currently have on the car. Still thinking bout it.

No problems. If I remember correctly, the rear plug on the right bank has to be installed from down under. I had to do it that way because my hands are huge!
