Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Slow but sure, Fred. Thought it would be quicker, but given the weather around here and the remaining items on "the list", I'm really not in a hurry.
Looks awesome Brent! Painting the motor or leaving it bare aluminum?
Thanks Fred. Going to leave it bare...might have an idea or two in making the front a little brighter but we'll see.
Per my last conversation with Shawn 2wks ago, he was going to get the intake started. Intake build should be complete by late Feb !!! By coincidence the wife and I are headed to Virginia Beach mid-March....hopefully I can arrange to shoot over there to see it run on the dyno!
Big ticket items on the list to sort out include:
Fuel system - can't justify the plug-n-play kits out there for something like this, so I may have to get creative AND handy to keep cost down. Trans upgrades - met with Liberty Gears yesterday...pretty sure they'll be tweaking the T56. Need to crawl my ass under there and drop that thing! Rear end - still leaning towards S60. While I'm dropping the trans, might as well drop the stocker too. Was going to wait for engine compartment paint to be complete but seeing how I can't seem to find anyone to take this on right now, might as well make some progress somewhere else. Spring is only a few months away!!

for fuel have you considered a lonnie's dual in tank setup or possibly one of the new fuel lab pumps I believe those are pretty heavy duty. Hopefully you can do something better than a loud ass A1000. With your kind of style I'd expect a MWC fab 9" under there with a wavetrack

no harsh opinions but I'd bet the sound of it will give away your sleeper status
im sure that wont be the only thing that gives it away.. intercooler in the front, the wheel and tire set up. there is a few other then just the a1000 that will give it away

I've talked with Lonnie and Nate at Nasty....unless someone shit's a magic one pump (in-tank) solution to support the ponies, I'm going duals....no one likes loud-ass pumps like that A1000 ....I'm goin' totally stealth!
Lines, pumps, fittings, etc is $1600 ....need to understand the package content to see where I can save a few bux.
As far as "style" goes it just so happens I have talked to Eric at MWC and he offered me a nice deal for a 9", wavetrac, most boxes checked, etc but could still save a $1000 goin with the 60....lead time is FOREVER on the 9s right now too. Still trying to keep in perpective this is going to be 99.9% street. Can't see spending the extra cash-ola for what I would consider a 'conversation piece'.

Honestly over my exhaust i can barely pick up the A1000 And Holley blue in the trunk. But thats at WOT. The A1000 Has a nice loud hum. But outside its barely noticible over the lopey exaust
FINALLY found a local body shop to tackle the engine compartment! Goes in week after next. Think we have some "value added" improvements without going overboard. Now I can stop talkin' about this project and actually do something!! Guess that means I have to drag my sorry ass outside....
