I haven't called Sam Strano yet, but I've been hearing a lot of good about the SLP Bilsteins from other boards. I think that's the way I'm gonna go.

I realize konis are the best I can get, but for the current status of my finances and all the other things that the car needs before shocks (paint is #1 on the list), I don't feel like I can justify spending that kind of money. It's not like this car is gonna be racing at Milan every weekend either.

Honestly, the biggest reason that I need the aftermarket shocks is because of the lowering springs, not to mention the fact I want to try my hand at autocross sometime this summer.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View Postyour doing more than I would have. Im an autozone kind of guy.
Can most people really drive the car past its engineered limit to the point where they NEED aftermarket? I always ask my self that question.
I wish I had your exhaust.
Also, my exhaust isn't quite done yet. it still needs a couple of things straightened out, and I'm gonna add either an x-pipe or an h-pipe

X pipe. If memory serves me correctly X pipes create scavenging and a H-pipe just will balance out the two sides.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. what does it mean to "create scavenging?" and what would be the price difference between an H-pipe and an X-pipe?

random question: do those LT1 throttle body airfoils actually do anything?

alright. I found a pretty cheap one on ebay (under $20 shipped), so I think I'll put a bid in for it.

I also found a Magnaflow 2.5" X-pipe for under $75. I think I'm gonna call the shop and see where they are on the exhaust. I could probably save myself some money by buying the x-pipe myself.

I have been thinking about one of those too. Let me know what one you get and if you think its quality work.Originally posted by alone_and_insane View Postalright. I found a pretty cheap one on ebay (under $20 shipped), so I think I'll put a bid in for it.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed
