  • when getting something out of the back of my car yesterday, I shut the hatch and noticed my exhaust tip was bouncing up and down. Looked under the car, and one of the exhaust hangers is completely broken. Just one more thing to fix...

      • looking at getting tint in the next week or two...what do you guys recommend, 15% or 20%? There's a place in Dearborn Heights I'm looking at to get the work done, they haven't gotten back to me with a quote yet.

        • I would go 15%. Nate has that on his hatch and its perfect. I have 5% and can't see a damn thing out of it

          • The previous owner had 20 on my back window.... to me that is pointless lol, I put some 5 over it. and 5 on my sides.

If you arent afraid of bending the law a little id get 5 all the way around. I love it. Then again, I do all of my own tinting.
I have been pondering the idea of doing my windshield 35.

IMO, go on ebay, buy a roll of tint (at least 50 feet long), watch some youtube vids. It really isn't all that hard to do. and it will save you tons of money!!!

            • eh, I'm not gonna do it myself. I'd rather have professionals that can give me a lifetime warranty do it. My '95 had tinted windows and they were great...I just have no idea what darkness they actually were. I wouldn't want to go as dark as 5% though, that's for sure.

                • how dark are the t-tops percentage-wise? I don't want them to be lighter than the rest of the windows...

                    • yeah I planned on tinting them too if they would be lighter otherwise.

                          • In case you didn't see my other thread...I was at the store today, and when I walked out, I found my car like this. I was parked with a curb on the driver's side, so it couldn't have been hit there. I was in San Antonio to see my brother graduate from Basic Training from Thursday night to Sunday night, so my car was parked the whole time. It either got hit there or at work today.

And I'm not making accusations, but I noticed the front of this TrailBlazer parked outside my apartment:

Screw people who hit somebody else's car and WALKS AWAY. I'm glad 1) I didn't get the car painted yet and 2) I have full coverage.

                              • So I had a lead on a guy near the town of Ray that could potentially paint my car. It's the same guy who painted Larry Meissen's (Plum Nuts) car. I went to the address given to me by Larry, and it turned out that the guy moved...I can't catch a break.
