  • Looks good Nate!

My car has sensatracs and they've been fine so far. Might go to bilsteins for the rear this winter to stiffen it up a bit, but honestly no complaints with the sensatras. Also I added heater hose to the top and bottom coils of my Stranos in the rear AND kept the isolators in place and it made the rear sit perfect IMO

    • Looks like good progress. However for the price you spent on those shocks and struts you could have got Bilsteins for a little more.

          • The car looks alot better with the black interior. My blue 95 also came with tan leather originally.

Ahhh I was basing prices from my work, ~$260 for fronts and rears. I picked up Bilsteins from WS6Store for around $360.

Ive got 150 into shocks and struts. Compared to my old parts, these should be night and day difference.

You'll be fine. Kyle insists my car rides better than his with Konis. Lol

                  • Looks great, Nate! And I admit the "finishing touch" that Levi did actually does look kinda cool.... it'd be different for sure. Definitely does not look like a car with that many miles.

                      • Thanks everyone. I agree the spoiler isnt really finished. I dont want to paint the actual car, just the spoiler so I would "taper" down on the spoiler its self.

I like projects like this because worst case scenario I just take it to work and have it painted black and I am back to square 1.

Fred, some of your posts on Tech is what made me go with Monroe Sensatrac's. If its good enough enough for your car it will be fine for mine.

                              • Just drove the car, wow I couldnt be happier. Car rides better than it did. Much more stiff when it comes to body roll, car still soaks bumps up pretty well. The road my parents live on has..plenty. I like how when I turn the car just goes that way. With new tires this thing is going to be incredible. Even I underestimated how bad my stock suspension was.

Only bad thing, getting in and out is noticeably different even from this small of a drop. I understand why "older" people dont do this.

I wish there was a way to show everyone a before and after of how the car handles but take my word its pretty awesome.

Only thing I am disappointed with is the brakes. They feel better but not awesome. Perhaps my rear brakes are doing more than I expected. That or I have a vacuum leak. At this point I will deal with it in the spring. Snow is on its way and I just dropped the car back off to grandmas.
