  • I wish I would have taken pictures of my Monroe's. They operated as if someone had drilled a hole in them because they no longer held any fluid. Hope you have better luck with them.

    • were yours sensatracs? I know you aren't kidding, I saw it for myself.

I am honestly considering doing something like this if it worked out that good for you nate. My suspension needs HELP!

You've ridden in my car - what did you think? Though, you are a LOT harder on your suspension than I am

I remember it riding a lot nicer than mine but honestly i didnt have my attention focused on that. May have to go for another ride in the spring

You are right though. I think one thing that is a lot harder on suspension than many people realize is a strong clutch. Even with the pedal fully released, a stock clutch can slip/forgive when those conditions start to arise without you as the driver even noticing. My spec doesn't allow for that lol.

          • Figured I would post a few pics.

Got some new lights, turnsignals, and a front license plate for my air dam.

Spent some time on one of my wheels yesterday. Played with a few different ways of getting the factory finish off.

I am going to have these powdercoated, takes too much time to do it myself.

              • Yes they will have silver spokes and lip. The paint I used is pretty solid but my prep was not perfect.

                • What headlights did you get? Any particular difference, or just regular OE replacements?

Also, I can't wait to see how the rims look on your car when they're done.

I got headlights from a member here that are all stock/in awesome condition. As you can see in the picture my car currently has a birage of different headlights.

Its the little things that make a car look nice, or clean. Im on to those little things now.

Rims will be awesome when they are done, going to be a long journey but I love the 35th wheels and since I cant afford them, Im going to make my own.

All I need is a hood and a cam to really make stand out.

                    • Spent a little bit of time work on my wheels.

                      Started with:

                      Ended with:

Taped a small section off and painted the spokes silver

At this point the three silver wheels are ready to go to the powder coater and the other one will need to have a little work yet.

O ya. This was a test to make sure that the project is realistic. For the little effort I put into this it turned out great. I think these will look great on my car.

                        • That looks awesome, Nate! So are you painting as a test and then powdercoating now that you know it's realistic?

                            Correct.

The black wheel has Caliper paint and dollar store spray paint on it. If it looks that good with no prep and low quality materials I think that powdercoat and a good tape job should yield the results I am looking for.
