just got done scouring this whole thread, looking good man. It's good to see the orange go, it just looked gaudy. Is there any particular color scheme you're going for? All black, black and chrome, black and silver, ???

I think rims are the next thing that should happen (once your mechanical problems are taken care of, of course). I still vote no on C5 Z06 because it's so overdone. But if you do, I vote either black with silver lip or Competition Gray:

I like C5 ZO6 wheels, just not on Camaros. They look out of place to me. They look great on a firebird though.

Also seen I had a bit of coolant dripping off one of the plug boots of the opti Checked the oil and it doesnt look like it has coolant in it. Car had some kind of issue for a min while i was driving it, then it like came back and was good for a nice 0-??? pull. Im betting I will be doing some work this summer. Part of having a 153k mile LT1. Not going to have time this week so its a garage ordainment for a while.

Do you have the car registered and insured? I thought you were driving it or not yet? Either way you knew that you were going to have some work to do but trust me it will be good when you get to dive in and start checking things off your list!

I have the car registered. No insurance until I get the brakes changed. Maybe next weekend I can do that. My original plan was not to insure it until April 16.

Anti freeze dripping off of your opti sounds like a water pump to me. I would change it now before it soaks the opti. I lost a water pump, drove 2 miles home before i realized it, and never had an opti problem. As a matter of fact, the opti had 140.000 miles on it when i replaced it just because. Good luck, Eric L

Just read through and thought that if your hood is still sitting too low you might be able to adjust the hinges in the rear where they meet the body. You should be able to raise the lower section.

yep, exactly how i would handle it. Youll need to drain the antifreeze and get some good coverage on the opti with some rags to keep it from getting wet in the process.

you could also change to an electric pump right now and reuse the current housing if want an extra 10hp or so up top - but you need to do a good job wiring (better than what comes with it) for it to be reliable. Would be good for autox conditions but not necessarily a road course.

Once its all back together... perfect time for a coolant flush, even if the guy claimed to have done already you never know.

Put some new pads on the front yesterday. Better but it needs rears too. I think I need to understand that these cars just dont stop like my GP does.

Drove it yesterday, no issues. no water/coolant on opti, weep hole dry, Oil looks good (no coolant).

Going to play with it this weekend and key an eye on things. I'm ready to auto x it though

Insurance should come today, plate tomorrow.

your car should stop plenty quick when you slam on the brakes. Just don't expect anything from the mid 90s to do it with minimal pedal pressure like all the new stuff does.
