  • Thanks Tom, now I've just got to figure out the annoying little things like my hanging idle...and besides that get the idle damn low so it chops like a butcher or a chinese lady killing a chicken.

    • Well I figured out how to test the IAC and did so, tested good so far as my "test" shows. Apparently you have to test resistance between the two furthest and the two closest pins in the IAC. Resistance comes up with an open circuit then it's bad, it should be about 60 ohms. (or k ohms? don't remember). Mine tested out good, re-installed it, then went to datalog IAC counts but the line doesn't show up.

      • clean the IAC with some carb and choke cleaner, fixed mine when the idle was jumping.

        • Already tried cleaning it even more last night but I didn't get to take it for a drive to figure out if it's causing my hanging idle issue. I'm just confused as to why nothing's showing up in the scanner.

            • can you reset the IAC on an LS1? If so, try that. Eric L

              • Figured out how to log my IAC counts. Looks like I'll be doing some logging on my way home to figure out where they're at.

                • Well IAC's were high so I adjusted the TPS to accommodate and reset the TPS readings in the pcm, verified by the vcm scanner. So I start driving and for a while everything's good, then when I come to a stop the TPS sticks at 12% open? I'm starting to think maybe the TPS is bad, causing my problem, but I'll try unplugging the cc module tomorrow.

                  • did you port your TB? could the blade be sticking for any reason?

                    • Yep TB's ported, I made sure that the TB would not stick when I did it.

                      • Well I modified my TPS so I can manually adjust it now, in order to keep it at an actual 0% when the blade is in the "closed" position. Hopefully this works.

                              • In hopes of better gas mileage. Hell if I ever want the 160 back in it's a ten minute process and a recal for the fans.
