          • yeah just a long process. builder is letting me make payments on the motor so there is no hurry as long as i can have it back at the end of winter to get it back together and tuned.

                • yeah fell on some hard times and had to let em go. Larry (oif1vet) has now sold them to kyle (phantom383). so they are making their rounds lol. im wanting to do a 6.0 build so i just want to be able to enjoy my car until that is done.

                  • talked with builder and visited my motor today. crank is back and looking damn good. forged pistons and rings are in. ordered my cam bearings and arp hardware while i was there. he wants me to bring in my flexplate and harmonic balancer to have the rotating assembly balanced. work is finally being done and even without the ls6 heads he says i should still be at least 400whp in the end. posted another thread about my injectors. please check it out and comment. thanks

                    • LS1s are internally balanced so he shouldn't NEED your flexplate or balancer at all.

                      • even if i putting arp rod bolts in and forged pistons. both these have to be a different weight from stock right? i searched on tech and seems they are having theirs balanced after doing similar things

                            • The internals are balanced, crank, rods, and pistons. After that anything bolted on outside the block like the balancer and flexplate don't matter (they do matter but no counterweights are put on to balance it). Its not like an old school sbc.

                              • again though if im changing the weight of the rod bolts and pistons, it wouldnt be balanced, right???
