Thoughts? Looks like I'd have to use a paper gasket with this one...20 hours left who knows how much it'll get up to.

Sure would look nice under my hood though.

Yup nothing but a giant heat sink thats prone to leaks. Keep it simple. Either LS6 and P&P tb which would be a great option or a Fast 92/92.

already ported my TB over christmas break. How big of a gain does it really make on a bolt-ons only motor? Not sure if I can do the H/C/I swap as well as motor mounts, trans mount, cutout, and drill mod in 8 days and get it tuned as well. I'm prepared to work day and night though.

8 days as in you have to work at a job too or 8 days of straight car work? I bet you could easily get it done in 8 days working on it after a full day or job working. Go get the cutout welded up first or wait until its tuned.

Eight days full, nothing else to do but maybe see a few friends. The cutout honestly shouldn't take me too long to do though.

Well I sold my dirtbike for $1900 so I've got money to buy the rest of my parts now.

                    • 8 days is way more than enough time for an H/C/I swap. We cammed my buddys goat in his garage in an afternoon from start to finish. Pulling the intake and heads would have added maybe 2-3 more hours to the job.

                            • Yeah of course, parts do get expensive and fast. Have you called comp or any other company for advice on a cam? With the mods you have already and the ones you are picking up this thing should be a nice street machine for sure.

                              • Sorry for jacking your thread Mike...would you like me to start another one to ask all my questions or should we just stay in here?
And about the cam-I'm going with the one Concept recommended...the "el torro" Found a very nice readup on it on ls1tech...guy's running 10.6's cam-only but I really like it because it makes more under the curve than the bigger cams.
